Our Protector 11 is a time delayed intelligent energiser as specified by European standard EN 60335-2-76/A12:2010. It has a delay time of 60 seconds. Protector 11 continuously monitors fence health, increasing and decreasing output power as required by fence length, grass, weather etc. If fence health suddenly gets worse, power is not increased until 60 seconds delay time has passed. This delay decreases the likelihood of entanglement. If an animal or person does get stuck in the fence for more than a few seconds or if they are in danger of receiving pulse energy in excess of 5 J our intelligent Protector 11enters alarm mode.
In alarm mode, the Protector 11 will sound an alarm, blink the alarm indicator light, slow down the pulse rate and limit the fence out put energy to 5 Joule or less.
Alarm mode lasts until the fault is removed, 10 minutes has passed or the alarm is disabled using the alarm mute button.
When alarm sounds immediately stop the energiser and inspect the fence to verify the cause (a person or an animal may be stuck in the fence and need help). Boost mode is when the energiser is operating over 5 joules. This mode is visible in the display.
